I have to tell you that since I got sick, I just haven't had the desire to create anything but this past Saturday, I was in creative mode and I got a ton done! I edited over 200 pictures for a couple of photo shoots from last month, I created some layouts and I even started a new kit! So I thought I would share a little with you.
You may remember this QP from an earlier give away. I made it with this photo in mind. This is one of the Sr Pics I took of Destiny and I have to tell you we had a lot of fun. Grab your camera and a teenage girl (really, any girl!) and just see how much fun you can have! I had a blast with her ideas and her willingness to try anything. It was awesome!

When I originally made this page, I was thinking that I would scrap my other grandma and how I wished she had kept a journal so I could read it. But then it went a different direction and I scrapped my other grandma and my lack of a relationship with her.

I have this friend that recently moved away and with her she took her two beautiful babies. I miss all three of them so much and was feeling a bit nostalgic the other day and found these photos of the girls when they were babies and couldn't help but scrap them....aren't they the cutest little things ever?!
Credits: Freshly Picked Fall by Teri Mayo (she's back!!!!!)
I also stumbled on this photo of Kaylee from Halloween last year and well, she was just too cute! This was her version of Dolly Parton and she was completely in character (ok...minus a few obvious embellishments) and had a ball being so pretty.
Credits: 2 Cute 2 Spook by Teri Mayo
My cousin had sent me these photos of her son a while ago and I finally figured out what I wanted to do with them this weekend. So I went for it. The large photo on each page was her favorite so I wanted to make it pretty predominate. She loved them so I was happy!
Laura aka {simply.scraps} gifted me this uber fun kit called School Girl Crush and of course I had to play with it! So I grabbed some goofy pics from Lexi's soccer team this year and scrapped them. I just remember them giggling so much that day and having fun with the shots. I loved it!
Credits: School Girl Crush by {simply.scraps}
I was also having a bit of an open journal moment and scrapped my nephew's mom. I have tried to get to know her and have really desperately wanted to know more about my nephew and to meet him but she is pretty closed off and won't tell me much of anything so while I was in an honest journaling mood, I made this page.
Credits: Freshly Picked Fall by Teri Mayo
And finally...because you know I'm addicted....
I also thought I'd show you Andy's hunting pics. He went to eastern MT last week with his buddy and went antelope hunting. They had a great time and both came back with some nice sized antelope to show for it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Come back tomorrow for a new freebie!

I don't think I've left my house in over a week now. I have been sick yet again and can't get over this crud. I felt really good for 3 days before this round hit me and once it did, it was all down hill again. I am so sick of being sick but I have to tell you that while I have been sick, my poor husband has been wonderful. I feel very blessed to have him to take care of me. He works hard all day/night and then comes home and works hard to do all of his work and mine. I am blessed. I am also blessed with wonderful friends who pray for me and check in on me regularly. I so appreciate that. You can't even begin to imagine the difference you make in my life. (You know who you are!) So although sick, I feel blessed. So I thought that I would pass on a few good things to all of you as well.
So this week, there will be a freebie every day on my blog (I'm going to schedule them all tonight so that they're here all week even if I'm not). ;)
In the past few weeks I have only finished two layouts...how sad is that? But I have been busy with editing senior pics, as well as a 2 other shoots I did a couple of weeks ago so that is sucking all of my creativity right out of me and by the time I'm done looking at photos each day, my eyes are crossed. LOL! But they're turning out so beautifully so it's all worth it!
One of the Sr. Shoots I did was for Destiny and I tell ya, this girl is a ball of funny! We had a wonderful time shooting and well, when I happened upon this kit, I couldn't help but play with a couple of the photos.
Credits: Fallen by Cora's Creations
Lexi has this wonderful friend that she just loves to hang out with and since they were on the same soccer team this year, there were some photo ops for me! LOL!
Credits: Rawr by Cora's Creations
While I was playing with these kits, I thought I'd make up a QP with each of them to share with you as well...so your first freebie of the week is actually two QPs!
You can download this QP here.
Don't forget to check out Digifree for more goodies!
And your second freebie for today is dinoriffic (yeah, I know, lame...but hey, that's life! LOL).
You can download this QP here.
Don't forget to stop by Digifree to check out the hundreds of daily downloads!
Thanks for stopping in and be sure to come back all week for more goodies.

Yesterday my friend, Dayna, asked on FB if anyone had ever made their own planners. Of course that got me thinking about how much I love and hate my planner. I love it because with three kids, a home business, sports and Andy's rotating schedule I have to have it to keep our lives organized and on schedule. I hate it because I can never find one that really fits the needs I have. I have always wanted a planner that I could use for me the way I wanted to. So since Dayna brought it up, I thought, why not? So this morning I sat down and started creating a planner that I would actually use. I made it the size of a half sheet of paper so that it would be small enough to fit in my current planner. Here's what I came up with...
I wanted a place to check off the things I want to do each day and prefilled in some things that I know I'll need to do each day. I also wanted a place to jot things down as they came to mind...thus I needed a notes section. I also want to be better about planning meals so I created a menu section. And lastly, I want to be better about daily scripture study so I added a place for that and will fill in my reading assignment before I print out the sheets.
Then once I had the daily pages done, I got to thinking about how I have to have my month-at-a-glance page because that's where all the details happen for each month. So I made up 12 monthly pages that look like this:
And then I thought...a grocery list would be great and so would a page to just jot down some notes now and then so I made these:
And then I thought that maybe I would share these planner pages with you so I made them all blank and added a non-scripture study daily page for those that aren't into it. And now that you've made it this far into the post, you can see what you can download for free today!
Yep...you'll get all 12 months + 1 blank month (in case you don't like the monthly labels I did), the grocery list, the notes page, a daily page that includes scripture study and a daily page that does not. They are sized to be 5.5x8.5 so you can print two per sheet of paper. You could even size them down to 5x7 so you have some more room around the edges if you like! Have fun and I hope you'll find them useful!
You can download them here.

It's been so long since I blogged regularly that I had to go through my layouts to see what I'd actually gotten done since then...it's not a whole lot but there were a few in there from August and September that I haven't shared yet so...here ya go.
Izzy loves Anita. In fact, she calls her "My 'Nita" and insists that she is her friend and not mine. This pic is from a day at the lake this past summer. Notice how Izzy has her life jacket on and a float tube? Well, by the end of the day she was without both and loving the water!
Credits: Beach Cantina by Inspired By Dominic & Sweet Tomato Designs
This is my family at my sister's wedding a few years ago. The day after I uploaded all of my pics (800+) from her wedding my laptop hard drive crashed and the photos were lost. Luckily a few friends were able to send us some photos of that day.
Credits: Just Breathe by Throwing Some Scraps Around (coming soon)
I gave up all of my online games at the end of summer except Fish World. So I thought I'd scrap it with this kit that was just perfect for it! LOL!
Credits: Squid Ink by Late Night Scraps & Creations By Rachael
When I saw this next kit, I immediately thought of this picture of my Grandma O. The colors in the kit reminded me of her shirt and I just had to use it.
Credits: Angels Among Us by Dancing Princess Designs
Not long after we did Izzy's bday shoot she discovered just how cute she was and every time she saw something cool to pose in or on she was there and telling me to check it out and get out my camera and take a picture.
Credits: Fall Friends by Flutter Expressions and GET Designs
After Izzy had seen that I could change the color of dresses in PSE she wanted me to change the color of her dress from Red to Blue so naturally, I had to oblige! LOL
Credits: A New Day by Christy Skaggs
When I saw the word art in this kit, I had to scrap my friend, Jamie. I just love her to pieces and think she is one of the best people I know.
Credits: Megan by Just Passin' Thru
This is our friend's daughter playing in the mud at Kaylee's bday party in July of this year. What a nut!
Credits: In A Boy's Pocket by Designs By Angel & Project B Designs
I love this pic of Kaylee. She is such a peaceful child and I'm so blessed to be able to observe her.
Credits: Fall Friends by Flutter Expressions & GET Designs
This is just another picture from the same day. Kaylee was telling Izzy all about the ducks and how she needed to sit quietly and be still so they didn't disturb them. She's such a good big sister!
Credits: Megan by Just Passin' Thru
My cousin and his family on a recent trip to Yellowstone stopped and had their old west portrait taken. I love this guy...he is so smart and so funny and always adds some fun to our family gatherings!
Credits: Cozy New Home by Trixie Scraps
This is another Lacey & Kyle layout. They are such a cute couple and the wedding was fabulous!
Credits: Powder Blue by Carena's Designs
As cool as her yellow dress was it just wasn't right for the railroad crossing sign so I changed it up a little bit and gave her a smashing new purple look! LOL!
Credits: Just Breathe by Throwing Some Scraps Around (coming soon)
From the moment Izzy was born, she and Lexi have had an amazing bond. Lexi has always been such a force in her life.
Credits: Squid Ink by Late Night Scraps & Creations By Rachael
These are just a few pics from one of the Senior sessions I've done this summer.

I loved watching Luke run through the water this summer. It was such a blessing to spend some time with him and his sister when they came to visit.

I also had a little time this afternoon so I made you a Halloween QP. Enjoy!
You can grab the QP here.

These past couple of weeks have been insane at our house. Between soccer and all of us being sick, I haven't had much time to do any creating. I apologize for a boring blog lately. I have decided to step down from almost all of my Creative Team commitments this month. I so thoroughly enjoy being on those teams and working with the fabulous designers I work with but I have been so busy lately that I don't feel like I'm doing them any justice.
I'm looking forward to some great winter projects and can't wait to get my beads out and start making some jewelry and gifts. My friend is putting together a giant bead order through Fire Mountain Gems if anyone locally wants to add some beads to the order. The more we order, the better the prices will be. If you're interested let me know asap. She is putting the order in on the 14th so you'll need to have your order and money ready by then.
There is this creative genius of a friend of mine that I seem to follow everywhere she goes. Jeanne was the first person to pique my interest for Digital Scrapbooking and little did she know at the time that I would dive in head first! LOL! Well, over the last year or so she has been knitting and as I have watched her blog, I have really felt the desire to learn how to knit. So yesterday, I took a knitting class at The Cultured Purl in Libby and I have to admit, I may be hooked! If you want to learn, I highly recommend getting into TCP and taking a class with her. It's awesome!
How about some class news for October. The only thing that has changed is that tonight's class has been canceled.
I also have a few new kits for sale! I made these last month and didn't get a chance to add them to the blog just yet. So I hope you like them. This is a 109 pc kit plus full alpha (not all pieces are shown...I decided to add a little more after finishing the preview! LOL!)
$3.00

Well, I didn't mean to be so quiet this week. I had scheduled posts but they've disappeared yet again. Is anyone else out there having these issues with typepad? Just want to make sure I'm not losing my mind! LOL!
Well...first I wanted to tell you that I'm hosting a speed scrap tonight at 7pm MST (9pm EST, 8pm CST, 6pm PST) at Pretty Scrappy if you'd like to join me. I will be teaching you a little photo editing technique as part of the speed scrap so be sure to arrive early and meet us in the chat room because I will be starting promptly at 7. It's going to be fun! Want to see a little reminder of the prize you'll be receiving if you come and participate tonight? Here it is:
I also wanted to let you know that I am hosting 16 challenges at Pretty Scrappy this month so come on over and check them out. There are some freebies tucked into a few of the challenges as well so don't miss out on the downloads!
I have a lot of layouts to show you as well but I need to get ready for the first soccer games of the season today (YEAH!!!) so I'm just going to have to come back later and show you the layouts. For now I'll leave you with a quickpage freebie I made with Designs By Angel's newest kit His Path.
You can download the QP here.
You can pick up the kit here.

After this week, this kit was so appropriately named. LOL! Between the house deep cleaning, the first week of soccer and really the first week of classes...I'm exhausted. I have been running non stop all week and am really looking forward to a much quieter week next week so I can do some scrapping.
The kit I'm going to show you today is called Just Breathe and is Farrah's latest kit. You can get it for free with a $5.00 purchase from her store! How cool is that?! I just loved the bright contrast of colors in this kit...blues and oranges and browns...one of my favorite combinations!
This is my aunt and 2 of my uncles a few years back...ok...a lot of years back! LOL!

This is my cousin back in 1997...so beautiful!

My friend, Kristan, took these pics of our friends Keeli and Kerri at Keeli's daughter's wedding a couple of weeks ago and I just loved them so I scrapped them, naturally! LOL!

I also made a QP for you with this kit...well, it's really one of my layouts minus the photo and the title. LOL...I told you, I'm a busy girl, this week! Enjoy!

The girls have been back to school for a week now and I'm working hard to get myself on a schedule too. That means getting my house back in order. So I've been working on that all week...going through a lot of things and just cleaning up after a summer of not worrying about it too much. I haven't had a lot of computer time this week because of it but I'm thinking it will all be worth it next week when it's easy to get done.
But I did get the first day of school pictures started so I thought I'd share. I feel so blessed this year. Both girls have amazing teachers who really love what they do and their students. So I'm really looking forward to a great school year and lots of unique learning experiences for them!

Well, last week, I was a little quiet but it was for good reason. I promise. I was working on some fun projects that weren't quite ready to be shown yet so though I was hard at work, I couldn't show you. But now I can! So grab a cup and let's get started.
First is a layout from Pretty Scrappy's newest collab American Symphony.
I also made up a few QPs for the collab as well but you'll have to check them out at Pretty Scrappy.
Now, two of my favorite digi stores got together this month to give you some collabs...Pretty Scrappy and Scrapable...now that makes me happy! LOL! So I was lucky enough to get to work with the kits the two stores collaborated on...
This is one of our friends and can you blame me for taking this shot and scrapping it? Just look at that face! Go Scuba Steve! LOL!
Credits: Splish Splash by JayaPrem's Hangout & Spinky Dink Scraps
We happened upon these turtles on a recent trip and since Kaylee is currently obsessed with turtles, I had to grab a few photos and I love how the main photo on this page turned out. I'd never seen a turtle's shell peeling before...very interesting. I also love the reflection in the pond.

You'll have to come back if you want to see more...the other kits have not been released just yet.
Do you ladies that came to the Spring Crop this year remember this? LOL! I hope you had as good a time scrapbooking blindfolded as I had watching you do it! ;)

Jacabean Designs has released a whole line of monochromatic page kits so I grabbed a few to work with...what a fun challenge for me. These kits would be great to add to other kits as fillers. There's such a range of colors in each hue and they really work well together.

I had to scrap a few pics from Kyle & Lacey's wedding as soon as I got home so I grabbed a kit that I made and went to work. You'll be able to get this kit by coming to my Speed Scrap on the 2nd Saturday at 7pm MST at Pretty Scrappy. After that, I'll have it available for sale here on my blog. There will even be an add on if you come to my Bingo night at Pretty Scrappy on the 3rd Sunday at 7pm MST! Put it on your calendar now!

Once upon a time there was a baby born to one of my fellow CT members and the designer we work with wanted to celebrate it with a special kit. So she asked the new mommy what colors she would like and then passed those colors around to a few more people who also thought it would be fun to make a kit that celebrated this new baby boy. And thus, the Lina's Joy Blog Train was born.
What does this mean to you? A rather large collaboration of kits to play with for free! My kit alone has 16 papers and 94 elements giving you a 110 pc set! How cool is that?!
Sorry Download Link has expired. This kit is now available in my Kits For Sale photo album!
Here is a page I made with my part of it...
You can pick up the other parts of the train by visiting the following blogs. Keep in mind that we're all on different time zones so if someone doesn't have their part up yet, be patient and check back later.

Last night, my friend's daughter was married and the wedding was beautiful. I got to spend the evening with two of my favorite friends just taking pictures and enjoying every moment of it. It was so good to just be around them...it's been a busy summer and I haven't taken the time to really spend with them that I would like to. I just truly love these two ladies and cherish their friendship.
I found this quote today and wanted to share it with you as well. I really think there's a lot of truth to this. It comes from a book called Return To Love by Marianne Williamson. I've not read the book but I think I'll have to look for it soon. I just really think this quote is something to ponder...
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Think about that...
I also have a layout to share with you. I have this thing with finding hearts in nature. I think it came from my mom but to be honest, I am not sure. I am constantly looking for heart shaped rocks, leaves, etc. Well...this time I found a heart in a tree and had to snap a pic of it.
Credits: Jacob by Cora's Creations
And I have to tell you that I've joined Cora's Creations CT Team as well! I have long loved the look and feel of her kits and when I saw that she was looking for some new CT members, I sent in my application immediately! I'm so thrilled to begin working with her kits! To celebrate, here's a QP for you made with Jacob (which is on sale and comes with a set of QPs right now!). Enjoy!
You can download the QP here.

Some of my favorite color combos are those of black a white with just a touch of color. I have long wanted to create a kit in black, white and green. I just love that color combo for some reason. Well, Farrah went ahead and created it so I didn't have to. And what's better is that she also included teal, peach and pink in the mix too...tadaa! Perfection!
So here are a couple of layouts I made with it and if you get down to the bottom, you'll also get a free QP I made with this kit. Sound like a deal? Here we go...
This first page is of my Grandma O'Brien's mother. I love this photo of her. It's timeless I think and one of the few photos we have of her.
Credits: Touch of Color by Farrah's Designer Scraps
And well, I'm not finished scrapping Lexi's birthday shoot yet so yes, you have to see more of it! LOL! My blog, my rules. She really wanted to include an umbrella in her shoot and so we did a few umbrella scenes. Now I need to find a great striped umbrella to give it some more visual interest next time.
Credits: Touch of Color by Farrah's Designer Scraps
Now Farrah is holding a CT Call right now and well, if you follow my blog, you know that I love her kits. I think she has a gift for combining elements and texture and color. She is so incredibly talented and beyond that she's a sweetie too! So if you'd like to work with her kits, please respond to her CT Call.
Now, a little goodie for you... a QP from Touch of Color.
You can pick up the QP here.

Don't forget to apply for the CT Call. You just never know if it's you we're looking for!

So I grabbed that up and her kit Aloha Dreams and created a couple of layouts with them...so stinkin' easy and so beautiful when it's done!
